Kenyan French Mission beans are a single-origin bourbon varietal bean introduced by French Missionaries in the 1800’s. A fine, rare varietal with a rich, full body and citrus, wine and caramel tones. This varietal is grown in an area that receives ample rain, a growing temperature of 22-28 degrees Celsius and grows in a deep red, volcanic soil capable of producing one of the finest, highest quality coffees available anywhere.

Kenya AA is considered to be one of the world’s best coffee beans. The high growing altitudes means that the beans grow slower than at low altitudes, providing more nutrients and allowing them more time to develop their flavors and mature.

Bourbon Santos is a medium to high quality, wet processed (washed) coffee from Brazil; usually shipped through the port of Santos. Santos is a market name.

A good Brazilian Bourbon Santos has a light to medium body, yields a low acidity, and has a very pleasant aroma. The Bourbon coffee plant varietal (Coffee arabica var. bourbon) tends to produce coffees that are fruitier and brighter (more acidic) than other Brazil coffees.
